A lot of fighters build neck muscles because studies have shown that having strong neck muscles will make it harder to get knocked out and I guess every fighter want to avoid that.
Exercises to build neck muscles – With weights
1st exercise to build neck muscles: Lying your face down with neck resistance
The first exercise to build neck muscles is to lie down on a flat bench with your head slightly over the top. Now place a weight behind your head and in a slow motion lower your head all the way down and raise it to the starting position. Repeat it according to your muscle building program to build neck muscles.
2nd exercise to build neck muscles: Lying face up with neck resistance
This exercise to build neck muscles reminds a lot like the one above, but this time lie on your back. Put a weight on top of your head and raise it slowly as far as you can and then lower it back to the starting position. With both of these exercises I recommend to use a weight you feel comfortable with.
3rd exercise to build neck muscles: Raise shoulders with dumbbells in hand
The 3rd exercise to build neck muscle is where you stand straight with a dumbbell in each hand. Remember to stand straight and push your chest forward. Now raise your shoulders all the way up to your ears and hold them there for a couple of seconds and then lower them back again.

4th exercise to build neck muscles: Standing neck exercise –Front and back
This exercise to build neck muscles is done without any weights. Stand straight and place both of your hands in front of your head and with resistance push your head forward and return to the start position. Repeat this as requested.
Now place your hands on the back of your head and push your head backwards, again with resistance through your hands. Return to your start position and repeat as necessary.
5th exercise to build neck muscles: Stand neck exercise – Sides
The fifth exercise to build neck muscles is almost the same as the fourth, but this time you place your hands on first one side of the head and push, then when finished, you do the other side to build neck muscles.
